What a day…this picture pretty much sums up how life feels right now-but it’s all okay, we’re getting closer to being more functional a little each day.
🛠Typically we start and finish one project at a time but laundry has become more of a need so the kitchen is back on hold and Aaron is working on running all new plumbing and electric for our washer and dryer….I don’t know how he’s doing it but he’s a champ.
As many know from my personal posts, I hate laundry. I like to put it in and switch it to the dryer, but that’s it. I have enjoyed the break from it, but I’m looking forward to getting those machines back to running. Hauling laundry around makes doing laundry at home look at that better 😂 you won’t be hearing a complaint from me for awhile about it.🧦👖👚
You know we’ve been here for going on four weeks. Today was the first day that I felt more at home. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I needed this place to grow on me, it’s just getting more used to a place that isn’t what I last knew home as. Its a really good feeling 💜
If house projects aren’t enough, the kids are sick again (they had the flu the other week 😫). Apparently they had fifths and so the red burning and itching skin had appeared on both Landen and Caroline at the end of last week but if that’s not enough Caroline tested positive for strep today😩 I feel so bad for them.
Trying to stop and snuggle with all three kiddos (Parker is teething something fierce) when there are plenty of things that need tending to makes it hard to make progress around here, but I remind myself that these projects are bigger than an afternoon of snuggling…so the projects have to wait.
The snuggles were needed in probably more ways than one…God truly has a way of making sure things stay ‘in order’ according to his plan.
I hope y’all have a wonderful week and I hope I can report on having a kitchen sink installed by Friday! I’ll be happy to put that grocery list together too this week
